June 21, 2015 – It’s the last day of our event and also our last day in Megatrade Halls because the Asian Comics, Toys and Hobbies Collective mentioned that we will move now in a bigger venue next year 2016 in SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia Complex, finally!! its time to really grow and celebrate our 15th year of Toycon Philippines.
The 3rd day was supposed to be one of the relaxing day, because it’s a Sunday and normally our highlights are thrown to the Saturday schedule, but for this year was different, because it coincide with the Father’s Day schedule and I noticed that all roads are going to SM Megamall. I can tell because I saw the traffic jam when I took a walk from Discovery Suites hotel in Ortigas.
I stayed in Discovery Suites hotel in Ortigas that Sunday, actually, I didn’t went home on a Saturday night because I attended a meeting and also went to DWIZ “Mag internet tayo” radio show to promote our event and also be the resident tech guy for the show. Thanks to Arpee and Juned for having me as their guest that evening.

I told my team that I will be at the venue at past 12nn. Because I want to fix my check in at Discovery Suites and prepare for the stuff that I will bring for the program of the event. Before I leave the hotel, I spotted this news item in CNN and its about a group of people who organizes a secret Star Wars event in London. They transformed the entire venue into Tattoine and the only participant can roam there should be in Star Wars related costume. You choose a character, do a mission and interact in a real Star Wars environment. If you don’t know how to speak droid language then approach C3PO to translate it for you.
Its traffic going to SM Megamall, and the only way going there is to use my foot hahaha. Behind me is the Discovery Suites hotel in Ortigas.
Okay as soon as I entered the venue, the toy groups invited me to visit their booth babe area hahahah. I was surprised to see 4 lovely girls dressed up as sexy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Ok guys.. here’s a photo op, kunyari friends ko sila. hahaha.
At the stage area, I caught the Justice PH doing their World of DC Comics presentation. Featuring DC in comics, movies, tv and toys and also the Justice PH advocay in giving joys to kids who are at hospital centers.
Matto Garcia and his group of Pinoy na Nagmamanika group were on stage and they shared about the joy of collecting and dressing up dolls.
I missed Borealis dance performance that day…but I spotted the dance performnance of the KPOP-hip hop dance group Vs Project. Great to see everyone did an awesome job at Toycon Philippines.

Okay..I got a time to roam around again and I spotted this prototype figure of Star Lord at the Mindstyle booth. I think they are giving it away during their booth activities.
DJ Janice Dizon was there again at the Mindstyle booth…mixing some music and invited the people to party. After some minutes, Doraemon and friends joined the party.

After the cosplay team presentation, I caught Vic Yap announcing the winner of the best Toy gallery display, the contest is judged by Luk Chee Chew and Lisa Lee, our Malaysian toy designer guest.

Toy Diorama contest!!! it’s hard to decide who will win for this year.. But my bet was this Darth Vader diorama with holographic effect… It was so good…awesome and astig!!! created by Bleau Aquino.

I took a CR break and went to the Fashion hall to rest for awhile. Here’s the scene at the fashion hall --- an area full of cosplayers… whoaaaa.

The event was closed by a jrock band group – Asterisk
They played some Baby Metal music..and that’s the music that made the crowd wild.
Ang galeng… naki head bang na din ako hhahhaa. Asterisk should play as a front band if ever Baby Metal do a concert here in Manila.
Philippine Wrestling Revolution or PWR visited us here in Toycon to promote the debut of Philippine wrestling to the new generation.
The owner of PWR mentioned that their wrestlers do real stunts and they actually get hurt. Their wrestlers are trained professionals and real wrestling fans…but take note: they are not cosplayers.
They did some skit on stage and ohhhh boy…. a rival group appeared and they smacked down the two wrestlers on stage… They punch, kick and body slam the guy on stage…and also…throwing the guy at the Hulk Buster Iron Man statue… which gave me a slight heart attack… the wrestlers are young..but can handle real injuries while doing the wrestling bout.
Bad guy or good guy at PWR ??I don’t know but I have to check their live schedule next time.
The event was almost over..but we let Marcelle do some impromptu magic on stage..
Marcelle did that plastic cup magic trick, one plastic cup hides a sharp metal object and he have to guess where is the metal thing by stomping the cup with his bare hands…. omg.
good thing, he got the right guess and he walks away with no injuries.
In every end of Toycon, we always do a raffle and awarding the winner with an awesome prize.
that maybe a 5,000 plus pieces of tickets…and only one winner will win a Sdieshow Man of Steel statue from Maxi Collector
And then after 5 minutes…a lucky girl won the raffle prize!

The event program was over…and now I have the free time to roam around. I was looking for a good toy for my son, but before I leave the hall, I saw that this booth sells a plastic in pebbles format … when heated with warm water it gets soft and you’ll get a chance to mold your own toy.
They call it Polymorph.
Polymorph is a good item if you want to sculpt some item for your toy…or maybe create your own toy.
Spotted a metal sculpture of Voltes V and Iron man.,
I wonder if these are for sale. hmm.
We just laughed at the sign above…. Earl Manga’s toy group is Tokusatsu Philippines, but someone printed the tarp with the wrong spelling…. now Earl’s group is called Tonkatsu ahhahaha.
Time to leave the venue… Im so glad that our visitor from Singapore left a luggage at the event. I used her luggage to carry my items and toy hauls from Toycon. whew…
