The big Christmas Tree of Resorts World Manila light up last week and it was followed by a Grand Fiesta event presentation with Masskara Festival inline to the theme they have for this year “The Many Faces of Holiday Thrills. They also shared to us what is in store this holiday season from Christmas month of December up to the New Year of January 2016.
I will make a separate blog post and I will list the exciting events at Resorts World Manila scheduled this November, December and January.
The Christmas Tree lighting was headed by the executives of Resorts World Manila, Megaworld and Newport Mall. The grand lighting was followed by lighting the grand parol and Christmas displays around the Newport Plaza, also a chorale group sang some Christmas song to add more Merry Christmas feel.
Me and my wife Lace are there to witness the grand lighting event, Its my first time to be with her in an event coverage all about Christmas. I told her it’s a fun event and we wished that our son is with us.
The giant Christmas parol (lantern) light up in the middle of the stage. I thought it was some kind of boring backdrop but Im surprised that it’s a real lantern that lights up. Its far more different from the parol that we usually see in Pampanga. But this version is a bit modern.
The Christmas giant ornaments displays light up around the plaza. Its not a good view below, but it’s a good view if you are at the 3rd floor of Newport Mall.

Sabrina, the acoustic darling performed some cover songs and a Christmas song.
President of Resorts World Manila welcomed us and revealed the highlights of their Christmas theme “Grand Fiesta Manila”. watch out for the list of events in my next blog post.
Resorts World Manila showed off some of their awesome performers and regulars at Bar 360. These performers were recruited from different countries. Here’s an acrobat duo that balances themselves with a steel pole.
A contortionist performer is one shocking spectacle. The guy twists his arms and then body…super flexibility was seen and we noticed that his muscles are so tough and bones are well trained in the body twisting. I super dislike this performance but its one of the wow moments for me that evening.
The Masskara Fest was followed and we saw the lights and sound exhibition.

We wondered how on earth he did that??? we see shapes of a horse in one of his poi action.
The Masskara fest dance and cheer was noisy and cheerful performance on stage.
I laughed when I saw their mask, it seems that all of them are smiling…..a part of an illusion but that’s how Masskara Festival is the most fun and energetic event here in the Philippines.
I should visit Bacolod City sometime to witness the grand fest there.

We went to House Manila at the basement of Remington Hotel for the Resorts World Manila media appreciation party. They always do this every year and I can say that the party is much more awesome this year compare to last year.
I can say that this is the even that made us all dance on the floor hahahah.

It was like a date for us….. She told me that we can go dance crazy that night because we can no longer experience this in a normal day hahahaha.
Friends from the blogosphere and comrades of PBNET was there to dance and party. Each of us showed our own groove with the music mixed by a lady DJ.
Monica Cuenca performed one song that night…I was hoping she will sing Bituing walang ningning.

Entertainment portion follows.. we listened to mash up music of hit singles
When they announced…the Resorts World Manila dancers… me and the guys were cheering, then we saw these guys dancing with leather boxers… I laughed to the max until I ran out of air hahhahahahah.
We didn’t expect to see this at the media party.. But hey..Resorts World Manila do entertain everyone with their foreign performers and dancers.
The ladies do enjoyed the show..but then…it was our turn to watch these tall foreign ladies dance with the groovy music.
Laser lights, smoke machine, and foot thumping music was felt after the entertainment portion.
I danced to the max because there’s a prize for the best dancer.
And at the end…Im happy that they chose me as one of the winning dancer ahhahaha
